Getting Ready for Your First Recurring Clean
A few small steps before your first visit make the whole arrangement run smoother for years.

Hiring a cleaner is partly about the cleaning and partly about trust. You're inviting someone into your home on a schedule, and it's natural to wonder what that first visit will look like. This guide walks through what to expect when you start recurring service with CleanFlorida, and what to do ahead of time to get the most out of it.
It starts with a quote for your home
We price each home individually. When you request a quote, you tell us the size of your home, the zip code, and the service you want: weekly, biweekly, or monthly maid service, a one-time clean, or a move. The quote reflects your home's size, its condition, and the service you choose. The quote is free, with no obligation to book.
If your home hasn't been cleaned in a while, we may suggest starting with a Reset Clean. It brings the house to a good baseline so the regular visits stay quick and consistent. If your home is already well kept, you can often start straight into recurring service.
You get a team, and you keep it
One of the best parts of recurring service is familiarity. You get the same team each visit, which means they learn your home, your habits, and your standards. Nobody has to ask where the cleaning supplies go or which room needs the extra pass. If your regular cleaner is out, backup support steps in so the visit still happens, and you don't need to rebook anything.
Your team works from a documented checklist of your preferences. Tell us what matters to you: how you like the bed made, which surfaces you'd like left alone, what you want done every visit, and what can wait for a deeper clean. That list travels with the team, so your preferences don't depend on anyone's memory.
What to have on hand
We bring our own pH-neutral, eco-friendly, bleach-free cleaning products. What we ask you to provide is a working vacuum and a toilet brush for each bathroom. It's a short list, but it matters, because a good vacuum means the floors and carpets get the right treatment, and a dedicated toilet brush keeps things sanitary and simple.
- A vacuum that works and is easy to reach.
- One toilet brush per bathroom.
- A clear path to the rooms you want cleaned, with floors free of clutter and loose items.
- Any access details, like gate codes or where to find a key.
Cleaners clean; they don't organize. Before the first visit, put away what's on the floor, clear the counters of items you don't want moved, and tuck away anything valuable or fragile. The more surfaces are open, the more of them get cleaned. Think of it as clearing the stage rather than cleaning before the cleaners come.
Pets are welcome, with a few ground rules
Plenty of our customers have dogs and cats, and our crews are friendly with pets. If your animal is nervous, tell us in advance so we can plan around them. You may prefer to put a pet in a quiet room or take them out during the visit. We do ask that pet waste and litter boxes are handled by you rather than the team.
Scheduling and notice
We work Monday through Friday, with the office open from 9 to 5. We're closed weekends, and visits are not available after hours. If you need to cancel or reschedule a visit, we ask for 48 business hours' notice. Without it, a 50% fee can apply, though we're understanding the first time it happens. Life comes up, and we'd rather talk about it than be rigid.
There's no long-term contract, so your arrangement stays flexible. Payment is by credit card on file or ACH, and ACH carries no processing fee.
If something isn't right
We stand behind every visit with a 24-hour reclean guarantee. If something isn't up to standard, tell us, and we'll come back and make it right. It's also the owner's personal happiness promise: you're happy, or we keep cleaning. You'll also get a short quality control survey after each visit, which is the easiest way to tell us what's working and what isn't.
Speak up early. A note about how you'd like the kitchen done, or a spot that keeps being missed, is easy to fix at visit two. Left alone for months, it turns into frustration. Your checklist can be updated anytime.
The first visit is about learning your home. The second is about adjusting. By the third or fourth, most customers say it feels routine in the best way: they come home and the house is simply reset. That's the goal. You stop thinking about cleaning and get your weekends back.
